WordPress MU

I am been using wordpress since last 6 months with single user on multiple sites. Now trying to use MU, but I found MU has striped "www." from url.

I don't see any reason why this is so. I ever use http://www.domain.com while installation but that also not working, also try with .htaccess edit but leaves with redirect loop.

Its nonsense to force user to use non www - while calling software as "Open Source". In open source every thing depends on end user, what way you need to use.

I never like to see my domain link as http://domain.com

Option must be added. Any user can give me link by which i can re-store www function on my blog ?

No, "Open Source" does not mean this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source

Regarding http://www... Oh my God... :) Let it die. Just let it die and don't come back to it. http://no-www.org/

No I never like non-www , domain with non-www looks horrible in my terms, whats wrong with MU, when they give option for server address while installtion, why don't it comes into effect. Further opinion on having www or not is divided there are many who believe the way i while others not.

But I should have right to choose among them, any solution to keep "www" ?

Hey Thanks VentureMaker,

With this I am able to solve for root blog ( i.e my domain.com )
Now I created new blog but http://www.domain.com/blog is not working it throws following error.

"The blog you have requested is not installed properly. Please contact the system administrator."

I want to use multiple blog for myself only ( new registration will be disabled for life )

Any Idea what to do ?? I had commented out following from wpmu-settings.php and index-install.php

// if( substr( $domain, 0, 4 ) == 'www.' )
// $domain = substr( $domain, 4 );
