Deactivating root blog deactivates another blog (2 posts)

My wordpress mu install has a few blogs, the "root" blot at mydomain.com/gp/ and two others at mydomain.com/gp/blog/ and mydomain.com/gp/news/. I don't want to the "root" blog to show up, so I try to deactivate it. When I do so, I can only access the /gp/news/ blog and not the /gp/blog/ blog. Trying to access the /gp/blog/ blog gives the error "This user has elected to delete their account and the content is no longer available."

It would seem that /gp/blog/ is somehow linked to the /gp/ blog. Reactivating /gp/ makes the /gp/blog/ start wokring again.

I am sorry if this is not clear, but thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

"mydomain.com/gp/" is the same blog as "mydomain.com/gp/blog/"

The /blog/ is added so posts/pages published on "mydomain.com/gp/" don't mess up the paths to the other blogs.

Imagine the problem of creating a page named /news/ and a blog named /news/ also exists.
