LDAP over SSL works? (2 posts)

I have wpmu 2.7 installed and working great. I installed AdminSSL (http://www.kerrins.co.uk/blog/admin-ssl/setup/) and it works great. I installed an LDAP plugin (http://codebrane.com/blog/?p=45) and it mostly works. It works great if we want to connect to LDAP via clear text, but as soon as we want to do SSL-enabled LDAP, it doesn't work any more. We found a workaround (http://blog.case.edu/gps10/2005/02/23/php_5_ssl_over_ldap_fix), but all that does is does clear text communication with the encrypted LDAP port. That's no good.

Anyone know if for one, the LDAP plugin I'm using just doesn't support SSL? and two, if there is a better one to use?

    Thank you.

I would recommend using the built in ssl functionality of wordpress over the adminssl plugin (unless you have some specific reason to use it)

For WPMU Ldap - see http://wpmuldap.frozenpc.net
