User Management (Select All) (4 posts)

Since WP refuses to give us any way to combat spam blog registrations (this has been raised as an issue for how many years now with nothing at all done?), why is there no "Select All" option on the user and blog admin lists for mass deletions?

I saw this raised in reference to themes before and shot down, but it's an annoyance to have to manually select HUNDREDS of spam users and spam blogs each morning and delete them.

I can't find a plugin that does it and suspect WP will never do anything about it. I'm nervous to modify the code myself, but will if I have to. Anyone have any ideas?

A greasemonkey script will do the select all, donncha's mentioned it before.

And he has also released a hashcash plugin, which should have helped with spam blogs.

Unfortunately, given the nature of open source, whatever adjustments are made, the spammers can also see how to get around it.

Is there a link to the donncha thing about the script?

    Thanks.

Uh, if I can remember where I saw it? :D

You could google for greasemonkey - it's a browser ad-on.
