On the Edit Blog page, I see the "Start Of Week" setting. From experimenting, I see that 0=Sunday, 1=Monday, ..., 7=Saturday, yes?

Assuming that is correct, my main question is this: What is the effect of changing this setting? (I mean, other than affecting plugins or widgets that deal with calendars and such.)

NOTE: It doesn't matter where I change the setting, in the UI or in the database directly. The question as to the effect remains the same. Just anticipating. :):)

It just determines how your calendars are displayed within widgets or in the admin area. Some countries have calendars that show the week starting with Monday, other start with a Sunday.

Other than for display it doesn't have any other effect.
