    I just completed a site migration done by WPWebhost.

    I have had nothing but problems since the migration was complete.

    At some point, almost everything worked, but ONE site was having problems with uploaded images in posts not showing up.

    Now, I can visit the front page of any member blog, but the images uploaded to posts will not appear. Also, when any individual post is opened, like this one: http://blogpeoria.com/2009/01/19/new-blogger-is-part-of-the-family/

    I get an error message:

    Not Found

    The requested URL /2009/01/19/new-blogger-is-part-of-the-family/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    UPDATE: I finally got a reply from my host. I will repeat it here:

    Yes, we know that this has not fixed and we are checking on this.

    Below is the error log found , while browsing http://peoriaillinoisan.blogpeoria.com/files/2009/06/bang.jpg

    ===
    [Tue Jun 30 12:48:57 2009] [error] [client 203.142.44.18] File does not exist: /home/blogpeor/public_html/files, referer: http://peoriaillinoisan.blogpeoria.com/
    [Tue Jun 30 12:48:57 2009] [error] [client 203.142.44.18] File does not exist: /home/blogpeor/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://peoriaillinoisan.blogpeoria.com/
    ===

    The issue is because there are no files folder under 'public_html'. The images should be refer to '/home/blogpeor/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/262/files' . Furthermore, it is noticed that all blog posts such as http://peoriaillinoisan.blogpeoria.com/2009/06/18/hey-city-of-peoria-traffic-guys/ and http://billscontent.blogpeoria.com/2009/05/24/yes-its-exactly-what-you-think-it-is/ are not able to browse to as well.

    It appears that the path settings are incorrect indeed. We are checking on this and shall keep you updated. Thanks for your kind patience.

    Any advice that I can pass along to them?

    More than an hour after my last response to deflect blame, I received THIS is the email I just received from WPWebhost:

    After checking the domain in the server it seems like you are not executing the URL in the browser. You are executing this through mysql or php. Can you please update us on how you have implemented calling these data in the blog so that we can further check on this.

    Funny, I thought Firefox and IE were browsers.

    So, the paths are wrong, even though they are the same paths before the migration and Firefox and IE aren't really browsers. Got it.

    The next email, they will tell me their dog at their Apache.

    ALL IS WELL.

    This is the message I just received from WPWebhost:

    First and foremost, kindly excuse us for the lack of updates on this matter.

    As further study , the issue was because of the rewrite rule of the .htaccess. I have make some changes on the .htaccess rewrite rule and the issue resolved. Kindly have a check. The previous copy of the file has been renamed as '/home/blogpeor/public_html/.htaccess.ori'.

    All lingering site issues seem to be resolved.

    Hey Dennis,
    ... was just wondering if you can provide me of the copy of your working .htaccess file as I m facing the same problem you stated in your thread, may be by having a look at it, I could edit my own .htaccess file as my host wont do that for me ... you are lucky to have that kind of host.
    you can email me a copy of the file in the text format in my email address provided admin at advancedrace dot com.
    Thanks

    Look at htaccess.dist included in the download.
