The default blog has some behaviors that I need to change. I want to create a blog with the url "/blog", however the url "/blog" is already taken by the default blog. Using the default blog doesn't seem to be an option since it is "special" in that it's index page is the site index page instead of "/blog", and I don't want that.

What can I change so that the default blog uses something else besides "/blog" so that I can make a separate blog with "/blog"?

But you could still use the main blog. :D

In the main blog's theme, make a home.php with whatever you like on the main page. Then the rest of the theme is used for the blog you want and /blog/

Set the reading option to show the blog list at a page called "blog".
