WordPress MU

   Hey

   I had installed WP MU 2.7.1 and added BuddyPress to it.

   But recently I noticed on the plugin page that there was a 1.0.2 update to BuddyPress so I clicked the "upgrade automatically" button. I guess I shouldn't have done that because for BP 1.0.2 to work you have to install WP MU 2.8 first.

   Well, now everything is broken and I'm trying to fix it.
   I guess the first thing I have to do is install WP MU 2.8.3 but I'm not sure what is the best way to do that manually - through FTP/shell.

   Can I just download the latest version of WP MU, extract it and upload it to my server? Is it OK to overwrite all the files that are already there?

   Anybody that can help me out?

   Yes,. That's how you manually upgrade.

   make backups first.

   OK, thanks. I'll try that.

   I was concerned that I might brake some files that are changed during the installation.
