I just did a fresh install on a new DB and then activated the BuddyPress 1.03 plug-in. I created a test account and signed up for a new blog (witch success), however when I try to go to the blog (view site from Dashboard) it loads the correct URL but it's completely blank!

I tried doing this without BuddyPress activated and it does the exact same thing...

Has anyone run into this? Is there a solution?

Completely blank means an error. We call it the White Screen of Death.

Check your error logs. If you don't know where they are, ask your host.

Well, I contacted GoDaddy about this issue and had a fairly lengthy back and forth with them.

Apparently they say Wordpress MU will ONLY work on their DELUXE and dedicated IP servers (the MORE expensive ones) and not on the economy hosting which I have now. Also they said that in order to view logs, I would need to pay more $$ for the DELUXE plan...

I don't get why MU won't work in creating user blogs but the rest of it will - how does their Economy vs. Deluxe plans affect this at all.

Are they just trying to get more $$ from me?

I really need to fix this issue, it's the one issue holding me back from launching my site.

Because they disable it from working on their lower price-point plans. Yes, it can use more resources.

You'd be better off finding a different host for the WPMU site. (speaking from multiple experiences with slow daddy here)

Tons of threads here on hosting already. :)
And a few posts on my blog about it.
