How to switch between blogs using administrator login (5 posts)

Well, I guess I mean just what it says in the subject. I wouldn't think it'd be so difficult but I can't figure it out.

I have the latest version of Mu installed on a Windows Server 2003 with PHP5 and MySQL.

I have set up three blogs like so--

    http://www.foo.com/blogs/ (main install)
    http://www.foo.com/blogs/queen/
    http://www.foo.com/blogs/rage/

Alright, so when I'm logged in as the admin user and go to "Site Admin > Blogs" and then click "Backend" under one of the blogs, I would assume that would log me into that blogs back end, but it doesn't seem to because any change I make affects the main install. For example, I made a test post and no matter what "Backend" I go into it shows that same post which is what leads me to believe I'm not actually getting into any of those backends even though the URL says I am.

Do you have to have a separate user for each blog?

No you don't need a separate admin account for each backend. You should be able to get into each just as you've said.

I'd check and make sure all of the settings are correct for each blog. If you go to Site Admin -> Blogs and click Edit on a blog, make sure the Site URL is http://www.foo.com and the Path is / or /queen/ or /rage/

Yes, I checked and they all are set up correctly when I look at them there.

And I'm still having this problem. Any other thoughts?

    see what i mean-

    http://www.theroanoker.com/blogs/queen/
    http://www.theroanoker.com/blogs/rage/

Both urls which are separate blogs show the title for the second /rage/ blog...

This must be an IIS thing because I switched the blog over to a LAMP server and it works fine now.
