    Hi,

Since upgrading people cannot log into the admin area. Here is what happens...

    The domain is http://www.worldblogosphere.com
Once you log in and click the admin link the address box goes to this -
    http://worldblogosphere.com/\"http://worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/\"

I think i found the solution to this once before, but have searched endlessly for days to no avail.

Please can someone help me fix this problem.

Thanks to anyone that can help,
    Gene

I don't get it, does your address box go to worldblogosphere.com or worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/? Because the last one is the right one.

He means it's including those slashes.

I think worldblogosphere you were looking for the fix with the slashes aroudn the admin username.

Go into phpmyadmin, look for the wp_users table. The first field should have the admin user.

That's the thing. When I click on the admin link from http://www.worldblogosphere.com ... all that happens is the address bar changes to

    http://worldblogosphere.com/\"http://worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/\"

and it loads a "Not Found" error.

So somewhere in the coding I need to make it so when Admin is clicked it goes to the correct address http://www.worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin

And I suggested to go look in the database.

    Hi Andrea,

Yes you did. I don't see anything there that I need to change to fix this. It only shows me; ID, user_login, user_pass, user_nicename, user_email, user_url, user_registered, user_activation_key, user_status, display_name, spam, and deleted columns.

I know all of that info. The problem is when everyone goes to sign in to the admin panel it goes to an error page because of the address being doubled like that. If i click the admin link twice, or three times in a row it keeps multiplying.

    http://worldblogosphere.com/\"http://worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/\"\"http://worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/\"\"http://worldblogosphere.com/wp-admin/\"

    and so forth.

Isn't there some sort of setting I need to change within the structure files? Like in the wp_config, or htaccess files or something similar?

I know when I had the problem previously (almost a year ago) when I finally found the answer (with your help I believe) it was somewhere in those types of files. Like I said, I can't for the life of me find the previous solution I came across on the forum. I have tried searching every admin related keyword I can think of.

    Thanks,
    Gene

I would suggest looking in your basic setup configuration and see where the duplication is.

Are the URL and Blog address the same address?
