casmangI am having a strange problem/quirk with my wpmu install and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Basically, I have had a problem where I try to install a plugin that has a new menu page (add_menu_page). I want this menu page to show up for all my sub-blogs, so I activate it site-wide. Now, the new menu shows up fine in the main parent blog, when logged in as the parent blog admin, but does not show up in the sub blogs for the sub-blog owner admin. EXCEPT, if I was to go and log in to the sub blog wp-admin as the parent blog admin, the menu button now shows up, and also the button now shows up when the sub-blog admin is logged in.
I have tried this with many plugins, twitme, which says it works for MU, and also I wrote my own, with just a new menu page, and the same thing happens. Also, just for more info, I tried to use a plugin that replaces the wp-admin logo at the top of the admin page. The same sort of thing happened, the logo did change for the parent blog, but did not change for the sub-blog admin panels until I logged into the sub admin panel with the parent admin user.
Any thoughts? It just seems like it doesn't accept the plugin as being activated site wide until I go to every sub-blog individually and log in as the parent blog admin. The it shows up for that blog just fine.
