    Hi.

I know the topic has been discussed, but I haven't found a clear answer.

And I also can't find any documentation which answers the following question:

What is the difference in using wpmu with sub-dom vs sub-dir?

    These are my requirements:
    - I'm using it as a CMS
    - Each new blog will have their own domain (www.mysite.com)
    - Each domain might have their own sub-domains.
    - A website might install a forum and access this through mysite.com/forum

I know about Donncha’s Domain Mapping plugin, so I'll be using this one to map blogs with domains.

But I need an advice on which is the best solution for me; using sub-domains or using sub-directories.

    Feedback much appreciated.

Subdomains. Donncha's domain mapping plugin won't work on a subfolder install.

If the domains will have sub-blogs, then you need to use a Multi SITE plugin, which maps domains and lets them have child blogs.

Im new to wordpress setup. I have tried to install and it works fine until adding the sub domain eg: (newblog.domain.com). The sub domain didnt appear and the browser return the message couldnt find the host. Help me to settle this. Im using wordpress MU to setup multiple domain with one database. Thanks.
