Arthranok, bit of a long one. I'm working on a major project and want to use wordpress Mu.
Currently I am running PhpBB forums. Now what i want is thus:
Forums.domain.com - forum
members.domain.com - wordpress mu installation for member blogs
comic.domain.com - wordpress installation running comicpress
gallery.domain.com - Gallery
wiki.domain.com - Site wiki
domain.com - wordpress mu installed on domain, using subdomains. each blog acts as a catagory, wordpress mu runs as a CMS.
so my primary help requests are:
Can mu configured with VHOSTS ignore certain subdomains? when i've tested before i've found that when set to subdomains will ignore any real subdomains and just show you wordpress.
Secondly i need to integrate the whole lot, i've messed with ALL of the phpbb integration options i've seen so far, only thing i can find that may work is:

not that i can figure out how to get that running (both phpbb3 and wordpress use the same hashing method, with phpbb3 using an ever so slightly modified hash).
I would prefer:
http://www.simplicitypoint.com/2009/04/18/wp-phpbb3-bridge/
but unfortunately the developer has gone awol and the version that should work, doesnt.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
