   hello -

   this is my first post and i apologize if this is not the correct forum.

   i installed mu and it installed perfectly in under a minute!

   my question:

   i can host as many domains as i want to. is it possible to "hide" the common (or parent) domain name for wordpress?

   in other words, lets say I installed wordpress under:
   http://myParentWordpress.com

   and one of my new shared blogs was created using the name:
   http://myParentWordpress/myChildBlog

   but i want to access the new blog using:
   http://myChildBlog.com (i made this domain name up)

   i am able to use apache redirect to get this to work and that works great, but i want to "hide" the parents domain name.

   has anybody done this?

   Yes, multiple times.

   Look for the domain mapping plugins, and if you have a subfolder install, get one that works for that.
