should it be in /wp-content/mu-plugins or in /wp-content/plugins?
if it should be in mu-plugins then i will not be able to install and enable it from within the admin ...

    Can anyone help?

Have you read the installation instructions that it came with? Its all documented in there as far as I can recall.

If you put it in mu-plugins, then it will be activated all the time for everyone.

    But, read the instructions.

This is what the instructions tell:

If you are using WordPress MU you will need to install this in 'wp-content/mu-plugins/wp-super-cache/' and the file wp-cache.php must be copied into the mu-plugins director

    from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/installation/

I intalled it on 'wp-content/mu-plugins' but i could find any way in the admin how to activate and install...

"If you put it in mu-plugins, then it will be activated all the time for everyone."

Like I said above. You just installed it, and it's already activated.

    Look for the menu item.

    thanks a lot.
It's working though there is a problem:
I see the pages cached in the filesystem but I can't see them on the wp-super-cache admin page. It is mentioned there, that there are no pages cached in super-cache.

    What do u say ?
