Client wants me to make custom themes for each MU blog. Is this possible via MU? Login to the Admin and create the blog (example.domain.com) then I can find that on the server to drop in special themes or anything else?

You'd have to create the themes and put them into the themes folder and then enable that theme and set it for the blog.

And it depends on how custom of a theme you want. just css edits? There's a handful of plugins for that too.
