Have read about this before and found a Trac reference: http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/900
But the info here, and the previous post discussing this on http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic/10654?replies=21 don't seem to resolve it.
I went into Site Admin/Blogs simply to change the website's tag line - there was an apostrophe, so I added & rsquo ; rather than the apostrophe. On saving the page, it gave me an empty error page with only the line "0 is a protected WP option and may not be modified". It still updated the live page appropriately, but whenever I go back to this page and modify it - even getting rid of the apostrophe altogether and saving - I get the same error.
Is this a problem with my theme - Aerocks from the Buckmaker - or do I need to get dirty and into my database and do something with empty options fields? I'm only using one blog on the site, in fact not really using WP blogging/post options at all, mostly just the flexibility of the WP admin. Is there an easy way of doing this?
Clearly it's not a great resolution to keep working with this Site Admin page and simply ignore the error message...
Thanks.
