I just noticed that the options for setting a static page as the entry page for my WPMU site is missing from the "Reading Settings" menu.
Is there a global option to turn this feature off somewhere?

Never mind;-( I see that if I no pages exist, then there is no option to set a page as the static entry point. Sorry.
