    Hi,

I am testing out WPMU to achieve the following results without even knowing if it is the right solution or whether or not it is capable of doing this.

I need your help in determining if this is even possible.

I am trying to create blogs & sub blogs(offcourse, why would I be here otherwise). I want user to by paid subscriptions to the sub blogs each of the sub blogs will have a different cost. If the user signs up for one sub blog he should not have access to other sub blogs till he subscribes or pays for the other blogs.

    eg :
http://www.mainblog.com - This is the Parent Blog
    blog1.mainblog.com
    blog2.mainblog.com
    blog3.mainblog.com

in the above case, if a users registers or subscribes to blog1.mainblog.com he should not have access to the other blogs i.e. blog2.mainblog.com or blog3.mainblog.com till he registers for these seperately.

Now, I am not sure if this is even possible with WPMU or not so I would appreciate all the help / info I can get from you.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Vishal

Would be better to have separate wordpress installs on each of the sub domains ?

    Thanks,
    Vishal

Just about everything is possible. Premium has a subscriber plugin. I'm not sure if does what you're looking for, though.

In MU, they don't have access to other blogs anyway. So, that's in there by default.

yes it's possible, there is a paid plugin to do it, but it charges one rate for the blogs, not a different price for each one.

You might have a look at this Supporter plugin:

Might be possible to tweak it to do what you're looking for.
