    So as it stands, Thematic looks to be the best so far. From what I can see, tacking on the editing controls from an existing theme will give me the best of both worlds.

    Most of the edits will be 'theme options' style changes similar to those found here:

    But it looks like its been a while since thats been updated..

    I'd love a simple garland like interface, and will probably start pulling from there unless there is a more Thematic-specific way of offering the same options.

    I like the flexibility of Viva7, and similar themes, but want the admin functions to be loaded only when in use (lightweight) and the core theme framework to be very fast and SEO oriented. Anything else like this?
