   Can social bookmarking plugins for WP regular work for wpmu sitewide? As in could I use Socializer or Sexybookmarks sitewide, where users are not required to activate individually, rather they are ready to go once individual users sign up for a blog?

   Most wp plugins need some modification to use site-wide. You'd have to try those out to be sure, though.

   Or, use the plugin commander (it's a plugin) to have the plugin activated on new blog creation.
