404 error after upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.8.4a (3 posts)

    Hi all,
    I just upgraded from 2.7.1 to 2.8.4 and I'm getting 404 error if I try to change the permalinks structure.

    I get following error:

    ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND

    Only the default permalinks is working.

    The blog URL is http://pokercurry.com and it is on HostGator.

    I did following for the Upgrade
    1) Backed up 2.7.1
    2) Uploaded 2.8.4a fresh copy
    3) Upgraded from Admin, all went well
    4) Copied the themes and plugins from backed up folder

    I've tried to disable all plugins and test but still doesn't work.

    Any solution?

    I compared .htaccess files from 2 versions and they are same.

    Sorry I found the problem ;)
    .htaccess file was not created, I uploaded .htaccess file and it all works.
