Register or request membership in a particular MU blog. HELP (1 post)

    Hi, I need a plugin or some help to configure my WPMU instance to work correctly.

    I have allowed self-registration, and some people have self-registered and created their own blog.

    There is a common blog called "/common", that I would like to allow users to self register for. As soon as they register they can be an editor.

    How can I allow this self-registration to happen?
    PLUS
    How can I allow users already registered to make a request to join the /common blog?

    I have tried to use the plugin "Register Plus" but it is buggy in Wordpress MU 2.8.4
