Is there a way to force a plugin to active status for all blogs?

We are using an LDAP plugin, but it needs to be active for all new blogs.

I would also like to hide the settings from the blog users.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The activate sitewide link, or use the Plugin Manager plugin.

The Activate Sitewide is under Plugins -> Installed. Should be the lower right-hand corner of the row containing the plugin you want to activate.
