How to share an options table? (5 posts)

How I can share an unique options table (like "wp_options", instead "wp_1_options", "wp_2_options" ...) to define the same plugins configurations to all blogs?

I found this page, http://codex.wordpress.org/UnMuify_the_plugin_shared_tables, but I haven't getting any positive results.

    Somebody could help me?

    Thanks

Sharing the options table isn't really recommended. Not only would your plugin settings be shared, but so would the blog names, viewing settings, etc. It really eliminates the use of using WordPress Multi User.

That said, you might be able to hack the WordPress Core to allow plugin settings to go to a different table than wp_X_options.

Wouldn't adding them to the wp_sitemeta table be a better idea?

I presume they're talking about existing plugins rather than coding their own.

    tmoorewp, really, you're right...

But how I must proceed to hack the WordPress Core? :S

tdjcbe, how I could do it? I'm a layman.. :S

    Thanks!
