WordPress MU

I'm having problems with using Windows Live Writer on my production server. When trying to add the blog account I get the following message...

A successful connection was made to your account however the server

reported that you do not currently have an active blog. Please ensure

that your account with this provider is current before proceeding.

The blog is active (not archived or anything). XML-RPC is active on all blogs. The user is added to the blog and has the administrator role. However strangely on my local machine, I able to connect fine. I looked at the Apache logs and I see WLW did a GET then a POST request to xmlrpc.php and there is no errors in the log.

I see some old posts on this issue but so far no solution.

What specific version of WPMu are you running? There have been issues previously with xmlrpc but I believe they were cleared up a few versions ago. (Forgive me for not searching but I'm trying to get out of here for the day.)

I just re-installed a fresh v2.8.6. I think I might be missing a PHP or Apache module as our sysadmin disabled a lot. What is required for XML-RPC?
