What does marking a blog as "Archive" do? (2 posts)

I can understand what marking a blog as "Spam" does, but what does marking a blog as "Archive" do?

Does it simply prevent future posts from being made?
Or does it "hide" the blog from the public?

    [EDIT]
    Just found my answer:

Not much use for marking a blog as "Spam" or "Archive" in my opinion.

If you just delete a blog, you can't go back and replace it if it's a mistake or delete the wrong one by mistake or the enduser comes back and wants to continue.

It happens. Trust me. I've had clients delete blog #1 previously. :)
