It seems to me that this wordpress forum is less and less active. Did people go elsewhere for example on stackoverflow ? Should I ask question overthere rather ?

AFAIK, most users are just hunkering down waiting for the merge. I know a fair bit of what would be new MU users are just waiting for WP 3.0.
