This is a complete newbie question, but please bear with me...

I've read through the readme files, but I still have no idea how one goes about allowing subdomains. Do I have to change something in Apache? How do you get there in cPanel? How do you "add a "*" hostname record pointing at your
webserver in your DNS configuration tool." What is the DNS configuration tool?

    Thank you kindly

Best bet would be to contact your host for assistance. The normal userend cPanel does not give you access to what you need to change. The WHM level gives you the ability to stick in your DNS wildcard but not the modifications to Apache.

Second best bet would be start learning. You maybe a newbie but you're now running server software. You need to get up to speed fairly quickly. What will happen once your clients start asking you questions? The DNS section of the readme file gives you a link to a walkthru about the modifications you need to make. Have you read it?
