WordPress MU

Hello, I'm new in the forum and i already have a problem.

I could easily install the WordPress MU, but now I can't do the login as administrator.

I put the login and the password as it asks but when I press enter it goes back and ask the login and the password again.

I acess the login screen by this adress "http://localhost/wordpressmu/"

I use Ubunt 9.04 and Firefox 3.6, can you help me, please?

I too am having the same problem. I am running XAMPP (Apache,PHP,MySQL). I want to install a local copy first to test/develop with but cannot even log in as the admin immediately following the installation. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Also, I am running:
WordPressMu = 2.9.2

Some side info:
I originally tried to install this using the URL http://localhost/wordpressmu, however I got a message from Firefox indicating that it was an endless URL reference loop. So, I created an URL alias for my WordPressMu directory, and it did help the install. But after the install, I had the issue of not being able to log in as the admin as stated above. I have worked with WordPress standard for a few years now, so this is quite boggling to me.

You can't use localhost. You need a FQDN. Set up some host headers such as "mytestinstall.com" and reinstall using that.

DeannaS, how i can set up some host headers in my machine just for those tests?
