WordPress MU

Hi. I've created a web site whose root files are WP 2.9.2.

http://www.animalsvoice.com/

But I've also added subfolders with their own WP set up:

http://www.animalsvoice.com/editorial/
http://www.animalsvoice.com/horses/

and want to add just a few others.

Of course, I found out the hard way that, when a visitor does a site search, they don't get the recent posts from the subfolders. As well, they don't get the recent posts in the RSS feed.

My question is: will WP 3 allow me to keep my current set up but enable visitors to get both search results and news feeds from the entire site, or would it be best for me to "start over" and install WP MU to achieve this?

If you use 3.0, you will still need to enable the network and have multi-site.

Then you will still need a plugin to aggregate your info.

And you will still need to migrate your subfolder installs into the main install.
