Domain mapped wp-admin - hiding the redirect? (5 posts)

    I have the following
    1) MY installed for topdomain.tld
    2) A 2nd blog installed on subdomain.topdomain.tld
    3) MU domain mapping plugged in... someblog.com which points to subdomain.topdomain.tld

    When i go to someblog.com/wp-admin, it goes to subdomain.topdomain.tld/wp-admin

    Is there a way to prevent this? (i.e. "hide" the subdomain part from the user)?

    Edit the blog itself and put in the full domain name in the fields rather than the subdomain.

    andrea, i did that...

    so here's what happens
    1) someblog.com/wp-admin => goes to subdomain.topdomain.tld/wp-admin/?blahblah
    2) enter usename password
    3) browser redirects to "someblog.com/wp-admin" (i.e. browser location)

    No, I mean go to the Edit Blog menu item, under Site Admin -> Blogs. Pick "Edit". You'll get a long list of all the database fields. Soem of them will have the subdomain listed.
