Multiple Databases and blogs dir? (35 posts)

    So, is there a tutorial to explain how to set up multiple databases with wpmu ?
    Do we just need to edit config.php to enable the variable multiple db or is it more complicated ?
    My database has now 1134 tables in it ... I think it would be good to prevent huge problems later ..

    Pretty much, Andrea.

    Andrew has set-up a very nice plugin. It's also easy to break out additional databases if you would like them. For example, if you want your main blog in its own database you can easily add a "home" db to the list/code.

    It also comes set-up and ready for a "VIP" database, where you could move certain users. Whether they are "premium" members, or maybe your "special" bloggers, or whatever.

    Like I said, it's a very nice plugin.

    how can i get that plugin ? i don't have premium account and i cannot afford it ..

    That's how you get that plugin. By having a premium subscription.
