One WPMU, two domains (5 posts)

    Hi guys,

I'd like to hear your ideas on this one. How would I go about rigging the existing WPMU-installation to work on more than one domain? I.e., I'd like to program an option during signup where users can choose from two or more top-level domains. For instance username.blog.com, username.blog2.com or username.blog3.com. And I'd like to run it from one single WPMU-installation on blog.com :)

    Sounds impossible, doesn't it? :D

first, the register process have to display the domains you wish your users to select.. this is a simple dropdown menu, takes 2 minutes to write.

also, you need the registration process to filter these domains and register the proper path in the blog's configuration...

then, in the htaccess, filter all the domains and redirect where it's needed without disconnecting the users.

it's more complex than that, but it's a draft of what have to be taken...

I'm doing an Optimize on my WPMU install so I can't tell for sure but I could have sworn that the domains were numbered as well.
