Submitting a comment takes two or three goes before it works. The first one or two times it just goes blank, no errors. I searched the archives but am a bit clueless about the .htaccess file. Appreciate any help, thanks.

The errors should be in your log file. On a default setup this should be in your httpd error log - /var/log/httpd/error_log.
Dont know if this'll help...

You're at the wrong site. You need to be over at http://wordpress.org You're running WordPress 2.0.4, not WordPress Multiuser. That's what these forums here are for.
