    on my install, if a person doesn't have a blog, but is only a user, when they log in they get a "you don't have permission to see this" type of page. Now, I understand standard users likely don't have any admin permissions, but isn't there a more graceful redirect back to where they logged in from or something?

    Thanks, I am pretty new to this WordPress thing. I have written my own CMS, but WordPressMU saved me loads of time hacking it to suit my needs, thanks for the time savings, I just hope to remedy a few weirdities I have found.

    I am having a similar problem. I have tried the fix from the codex but it is still happening.

    In wp-login.php, you could run a query to check for a blog with their username, and if it doesn't exist, set redirect_to to your main site, or the site they logged in on.

    I think this was fixed in the latest nightly. Not sure though.
