    Happy Holidays!

I just wanted some feedback on the blog site I am working on and also what you think of my christmas theme. The website address is http://www.mywebblogs.com

    Appreciate any input.

    Thanks,

Love the background, like the cleanliness of the design but here's what I recommend:

    1. For the front page of the site, I'd disable the adsense widget. Too many ads on the front page detract from the site.

    2. If you have the ability to do so, slow down the lights on the tree. I'd say having them flicker every second or so would look far cooler.

    3. Sell the site a little more in the first paragraph. Really seek to draw people in with a brief bit of text. Kep in mind that when Google indexes that page right now there is more ad text being served from google than there is real content.

Over all it's looking pretty good.

For some great comparisons of what to look for when setting up the front end take a look at some of these wpmu driven sites (and fellow forum members here):

    http://hadithuna.com/ - Sulieman's site

    http://daria.be/ - Dr. Mike's site

    http://dreamflicks.com/ - My site.

Maintaining a careful balance between good information delivery and "wow" factor will help you in the long run.

    Keep up the good work!

Totally forgot to mention I love the background of moving snowflakes on the main blog portion. That's a great subtle touch that really works well.

Hey Thanks... I appreciate the input. I will focus on not so many ads and yes I am still working on more explanation of the site in the first paragraph. Thanks again!

    Happy Holidays!

I have no problem if you use most anything I put up on dreamflicks. Feel free to grab/take anything. The majority of it is rehashed Creative Commons stuff found elsewhere run through my special sarcasmeter. I tend to be abit on the silly side.

Oh by the way I forgot to tell you I really like your site and some of the themes you have. I still am so new to using css that it makes it hard for me to make the site exactly the way I want it. I would love to put the login box on the front page as well but could never get it to place right on the site.. lol Oh by the way did you check out my phpbb forums? You can check it out at http://www.mywebblogs.com/forums

The best way to learn css and the ins and outs of wordpress is to customize your themes.

If you're using firefox you can grab the web developer extension (a god send) and then view the css for the login box. Feel free to use it although you'll want to search these forums to find the logged in hack.

Also before I forget, head here: http://www.favicongenerator.com/

and grab a favicon.ico so the little logo in the address bar changes. A tiny thing but it adds a little something.

Nice forums. I love phpbb, although once bbpress hits 1.0 I'll prob fall in love with it.
