Has anyone discovered how to prevent the main blog in a site from adding "blog/" to any permalinks?
I'm on a subdirectory install, and want my blog to be http://mydomain.com/blog - which is working fine, until I add permalinks. Each link is now http://mydomain.com/blog/blog/my-permalink.

Yep. That's how it works on a subdirectory install for the main blog so it "knows" it's the main blog and not a user.
With users, it already has something in the first mu rewritten subdirectory (the username).
I ran into that on a subdomain install, which shouldn't have been happening, but that's a much different issue.

That does make sense. I suppose the only way around it is to install in the root and make the other pages of the site Wordpress pages.
Thanks for the help.
