Hi, I installed MU to my domain: http://www.gopoli.com but if you visit that URL you get an essentially blank page. You have to visit http://www.gopoli.com/wordpressmu-1.0/ to get the actual blog. That seems awfully sloppy, did I do something wrong w/ the install? My personal finance blog http://www.mymoneyforest.com didn't have that problem when I installed wordpress.

    Thanks for the help!!

well it seems like you did not install into the root but into the folder wordpressmu-1.0 :-)

The install instructions really need to be rewritten.

    Something like that.

Agreed but the install instructions do state to upload everything within that directory, not unzip it after you upload the zip file. :)

    True, it does say it.

I'm wondering if the directions are completely clear, mainly from a perspective that if someone doesn't speak English natively it may be confusing.

I just finished a "draft" of a new README.txt, which is a little more detailed and straight forward. If someone (or anyone) would like to collaborate on it with me, you know where to find me. ;)

but on the other hand, without meaning to be mean, how can someone who is not able to realize this "error", be a wpmu-admin aka offer a service like this to the public?
true it might be someone who does not want to offer it to the public, just for friends, maybe is even only trying it out on a local machine, but still, I am wondering about some questions I read here in the forum...

anyway, enough rambling, tmoon77 asked and we solved his error.

I agree but that's how most Open Source software comes in a zip. You unzip it, you get a subdirectory. It wasn't made to upload and then unzip.

    I don't like it either.

And, yes, tmoon, did you resolve the issue?
