I saw this post while searching (http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic.php?id=3275) and I tried to reply but it said "Topic closed". I don't have cpanel and therefore can't "park" the domain, as explained, so is there a way to do this step? I'm my own host with full access to the server and domain. Thanks!

Add another server alias line to the virtual host for your mu setup in apache's conf file with the new domain.
Note: not with the * for wildcards.
The topic shouldn't be closed. That's a forum bug. I'll go report it to Donncha.

I noticed that with that topic the other day.
Says 2 pages for posts, but page 2 says topic closed.
I don't think it's a bug. It's the "powers that be" that shut it down because we were getting to close to "the truth". :)
If the thread was really closed, I wouldn't have a Close Topic link as the bottom.
