user login gives permission problems (3 posts)

Using 9-20 build. A user that signed up on one of the blogs tries to login and gets "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." I logged in through the admin and the user is set to Administrator (this is the default? probably bad) so should be ok.

I then logged in as the user and confirmed above error message. But then I go to one of the blog pages after that and on the Comments page see that the person is successfully signed in. Any leads?

Are you using Vhosts or subdirectories?

What URL is the new user trying to log in from? What URL do they end up at?

What does your .htaccess file look like?

    1) Using subdirectories

    2) URL is http://www.domain.com/blogname/wp-login.php - is that the right one? Doesn't seem like any of the login pages work such as the other blognames or the admin one http://www.domain.com/wp-login.php (only posting from the /blogname/ blogs - not the root/admin account.)

    3) Which .htaccess? (directory?)
