I'm switching hosts and currently using a IP Subdomain address:

Your new WPMU site has been created at
    http://67.19.97.98/~emperor/

Everything seems to work fine. My question is when I get my domain transfered how difficult will it be to update the domain? Would it be better to just wait until my domain has propogated and reinstall wpmu at that time?

    Thanks for the help.

    Bob

    I'd put it on hold.

    Won't take long anyway.

You will need to update many entries in the database:

    For the site:
Check the tables: wp_site, etc. It should not take long, like 5 minutes to get through.

    For each blog:

in the table wp_?_options, $site_url, $home options will need to be replaced. This step can take a long time manually, if you have many many blogs.

My old host is still down, and I have no way to contact them to transfer my domain. I just purchased a new domain. I'm going to delete the database and reinstall wpmu. Are there any other files I should replace to make a new clean install?

    thanks again.

You'd better start with a clean set of files as well. If you don't have much customizations on the code or plugins, upgrade to the latest WPMU 1.1.1.

Just make sure your new domain has propagated first.
