What is the purpose of "BASE" in the new htaccess.dist?
Should I be able to cp htacces.dist to my .htaccess and not get "RewriteBase: argument is not a valid URL" in my logs? If so where do I define BASE?

Posted 18 years ago #You can remove the BASE but while search'n replacing make sure that you don't strip off the Base from RewriteBase in the 2nd line.
Leave this...
