WordPress MU

I'm looking for some advice...

I work in education and I'm looking to possibly use wordpressMU. I'm looking for several features.

• We would like to allow multiple blogs as wordpressMU does but we only want admins to be able to create blogs and register users.

• We would like all posts and comments (comments can be by anybody, not just registered users) to be centrally moderated. The admins would approve posts and uploads and comments before they can go up on the blog. If this could all be done in one place that would be great.

• We would like the front page to be a blog with navigation to all blogs in the sidebar.

Is this possible with WordpressMU? Is there a better option for something like this (drupal)?

The second option is the only one not available in MU. you could probably hack it to do it though.

Yep, number 2 is on the cards for Edublogs Premium: http://edublogs.org/services

1 and 3 already there :)
