    Hi,

I'm wondering if this is at all possible:

I have WPMU installed in a subdirectory:
    http://www.site.com/blogs

I am wondering if it's possible to have the main blog located at that address, and have all other blogs located at subdomains, like blog1.site.com blog2.site.com etc.

I have read that this is not possible, but the post was old, and I just wanted to check again. I a web developer and have a good understanding of mod_rewrite, so if anyone has any hack-like ideas, please post!

    Thanks. :)

Yes but you wind up doing a redirect of a redirect times 4 or 5. Any real host would boot you for doing that as it puts strain the server.

It was solved over a year ago.

If you just can't use the root of the primary domain, buy another domain.

    Hi,

I'm after something that I would have thought would be simpler, however, I'm beginning to think that it ain't!

Thanks for being here by the way.

    (((((wordpressmu community)))))

I have MU installed in a sub-directory. (I hear you groan!) The difference is, that I don't need subdomains. All I need is something like this:

    http://mydomain.org/wordpressmu/blog1,
    http://mydomain.org/wordpressmu/blog2,
    http://mydomain.org/wordpressmu/blog3,
    http://mydomain.org/wordpressmu/blog5604, (Would be nice!)

    Is this possible? :?

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Sonny
