Doesn't look like it... Anyway it sounds like one of those pay only features they are talking about on wordpress.com so I doubt the code will be released.

Sigh, I was looking for xml-rpc the other day and couldn't find that... it WPMU frozen out of moblogging?

Not really , there is a XML-RPC so im sure moblogging feature in WPMU.
