Gabcast Not Embedding (12 posts)

Before I installed WP MU I was using just a single WP blog I had installed. For the stand alone I was able to use Gabcast to post audio blogs and the embeded player worked great. Now that I'm using WPMU I can get the audio blog to post to my blogs, but the embeded player will not post automatically. Even when I copy and paste the code from my Gabcst episode the actual post reverts to a link to Gabcast. My blog addres is winterparkblogs.com if that helps.

PS-this is my first forum entry so please be gentle :-)

    Greets :)

You're going to have to create a plugin to allow this. embed codes are removed from all user input due to security concerns else you have folks hacking your site.

If you post the URL of a sample, I can see what I can come up with for you.

    Hope this helps,

drmike- you seem to be the person to talk with from reviewing the forums, thanks for taking a look at this. My site is http://winterparkblogs.com

The guy who got me hooked onto WP created the site http://tibet2007.therestofeverest.com/. He made sat phone blog entries from Everest Base camp. He suggested I use gabcast for my organization members to blog while on trips when laptops and internet connections are not an option (very remote locations).

I am using godaddy as my host- and as I mentioned before the gabcast entires worked great when I had installed only WP. But now with WPMU it only lists the link.

Thanks for your time an energy!

Thanks. I activiated the plug in and the player still did not embed.

    Here's a url drmike.

    http://www.gabcast.com/index.php?a=episodes&b=play&id=10166&cast=32353&autoplay=true

It's where the link is pointed to. For some reasome the code for the player is converted to a link. Do you want me to post the code Gabcast says it should look like?

I read another phone blog site (phoneblogz.com) that said MU users needed to change their .htaccess file so their particular embedded player would work. This this might me holding this up?

    Yes.

I'd like to know as well please.

I'm just experimenting with Gabcast now, and appear to have come across a few issues.
