So I have been trying to sort through the google sitemaps setup for my domains and subdomains under my wordpress mu setup. In looking through a couple of the recent posts on this I see the typical "do a search" answer.

I have spent the last hour reading through threads and still can't determine what is the correct and up to date fix.

    Is this the correct thread:

Basically do none of the plugins work on development site work for sitemap generation?

Here is says the sitecow plug in doesn't work. If it doesn't work why can we still download it?

I did a search for the modified arne plugin and I can't find what looks to be a definitive thread on it.

Can we come up with a definitive guide like we have for the multi domain setup?

I can't open up a new window here but I thought we had a download up on http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com It's version 2 of the Anne what's his name plugin and it works fine. I strongly suggets setting it as a plugin, not a mu-plugin or else it's going to really muck up importing as it'll regenerate the sitemap and ping out for each article.

I'm using a hacked version of the version 3 plugin but it's not working on the main blogs, just the subdomains. I haven't sat down and worked it out yet so I haven't released it.

    Hope this helps,

edit: The version here is the one that works for us. Be sure to read down a few posts on what you need to edit before turning it on.
