I get this message after installing MU 1.2.3:
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'ABSPATH/wp-admin/admin-functions.php' (include_path='.;c:\php\pear') in D:\inetpub\mysite\wordpressmu\wp-admin\upgrade-functions.php on line 5
I haven't made any changes to the files mentioned, I've only followed installation instructions.
I am setting up WPMU on a database that had my old WP on it. I don't know if that makes a difference

I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM!! Please, someone post a solution to this issue. It seems to be a common problem with wp 2.2.1

tvalleav10, you're at the wrong site as you're running different software. You need to be over at http://wordpress.org/support Also please don't shout (type in all caps). It's very rude.
John, please note the abspath isn't being set. Is there anything showing up in your error logs?
